All about Brooke
Brooke is one wild, loud, no sleeping, coffee thieving, crazy , beautiful, on the GO little girl! She knows how to count to 20 in English, to 10 in Spanish, loves singing and dancing, enjoys annoying the heck out of Duke, still loves to eat, be outside or at someone else's house besides her own, loves to swim, do puzzles, read books, is caring and compassionate, yet mean and bossy, talks ALL the time, repeats everything, rides her trike so much she split the front tire down the middle, and loves to annoy her Daddy!! Can't believe how much she has grown and that she is almost 3!
She is getting into princess stuff, which I thought would never happen! Here she is as a "pretty princess!"
B <3 Cabela's! Our 2nd home during the summer since it is 115 outside. Sheesh
Eating a pickle. "This sure is good!"
Love when she sleeps! It does NOT happen very often!
Washing cars with Daddy!
Way behind
There has been some pretty awesome TV on, with the Olympics and then Shark Week, I have been way behind on my posts! Let's see if I can get caught up!
August 10th- 26 weeks
Went to the doctor. Baby is good and I am good!
I weighed 134.
Baby is kicking and moving like crazy. This one kicks on my right side towards the back. Brooke was always up high in my ribs! I'm able to breath a little easier with this one so far.
Lots of contractions. Off and on
August 20th- 27 1/2 weeks
I had an appointment for my glucose screening at 8:45am. Tony watched Brooke since I had to be at the lab for a while. When I got there they got me back at 9, drew my blood, and said see ya later. UM, I need to drink that nasty drink. I'm fasting.
Turns out, it wasn't on my orders so, I walked up two flights of stairs because the elevator in this place is ancient and takes FOR-EV-ER! Tried to tell them what was going while trying to catch my breath! They came back with my new orders which looked oddly familiar. Took it down and they said this is what we just did. Yeah, that's what I thought. UGH! It's 9:20 now and I am walking back up 2 flights of stairs. Finally, I tell them I need the 1 hour glucose screening and it is NOT in the panel you keep requesting. Got more orders, took 'em down and got to drinking that yummy orange drink.
My time started at 9:30 and I had to sit there for an hour until they could draw more blood. That was one long hour. I wanted to eat my hand off!! Baby girl was mad, I was mad, we needed to eat, NOW!! Finally, they draw my blood and I am done. Out of there to find food. HMM, what to eat? WHATABURGER!! I ate it so fast, it was so good, and then I felt awful. I know I felt bad from fasting and nasty orange drink. It couldn't possibly be from my healthy lunch! Took a little nap and felt a little better.
August 24- 28 weeks
Back to the DR for bi-weekly check-ups. WOW! Already...
Weighed 136
Baby heartbeat was 143
Growing right on schedule
DR asked if I ever had problems with my platelets when I was pregnant with B. Not that I knew of, but then again my doctor didn't inform me of a lot of stuff.
The DR informed me that my platelet counts were low. This can happen because of a virus, but Im not sick or have been around sick people, or just do to pregnancy itself.
First platelet count at beginning 190's
Platelet count now in the 101
If my platelet count continues to fall and depending on how low, I will have to go in for steroid injections 72 hours before c-section to hopefully increase them. I can't have a spinal block if platelet count is too low. I will have to go under :( WHAT???
You have got to be kidding me. I just want an easy delivery this time, but looks like that won't be the case.
She said they will be doing lots of lab work to keep an eye on it.
Came home and looked at my old lab work with B and yep, low platelet count.
SO, apparently I should not have had a spinal. Maybe this is why I lost so much blood after having Brooke...
I will find out more at my next appointment.
TEXAS or ARIZONA???
Meanwhile, Tony had an interview on the 23rd for a management position back in Sanger. Yes, we are considering moving back. Hopefully this week he will get a second interview with the GM and AGM. If he doesn't, we will be staying here. If he does, and all goes well, we will be back in Texas within the next 2 months.
Yes, 2 months. Wait, when is this baby due?? In a few months! We will definitely be pushing it and will need lots of help considering I will not be of much help with this big tummy and all!! Tony has been so indecisive about this decision, which is not like him at all, so we will see what happens. I will keep you posted!
